Not sure which finish is right?

That’s completely normal — most clients start with a photo they love and a room they want to change. The right material depends on how the space is used, how much moisture and wear it will see, the condition of the walls and the look you’re after.

As a rule of thumb:

  • Living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms: Venetian plaster for depth and sheen, or Marmorino for a softer, stone-like matt finish.
  • Hallways and stairwells: Marmorino or a sealed polished plaster that copes with daily knocks and is easy to repair.
  • Showers, wet rooms and baths: microcement or tadelakt, over a properly tanked substrate.
  • Floors, stairs and worktops: microcement — seamless, strong and comfortable with underfloor heating.
  • Restaurants, hotels and retail: hard-wearing textured and stone-effect finishes and commercial specifications.
